Its all started in 19th century. Yep ! and actually they were extremely popular at that time ... way more than now.

In comparison to Petrol combustion engine cars, Electric vehicles were CLEAN, SILENT, without bad smell, Fumes, without vibrations and easy to turn on (yes at this time all cars had cranks instead electric ignition)

in 1920 The mass production of Ford Model T and larger access to petrol natural extraction
cost are going down, a petrol engine car is now twice cheaper than an electric car
2.Improvement or roads pavement
The car drivers can, want and must drive longer distance which exceed the potential of batteries at that time. driving further means also going uphills ... not very electric friendly new requirements.
3.The electric ignition switch improved significantly the driver's experience
Starting your car no longer require this heavy duty crank - shaft operation. you now only need to push one button to start the engine. much more user friendly !
Women's favorite liberation tool ?
since 1900, Electric car is pictured by auto makers in advertising campaigns and marketing as a tool for women to access freedom, mobility, revealing a strong character, a certain sex appeal, but hey wait....
in a very mini mini tiny mini car !
that's right. Women you can be free to drive your own car, but only a small car, a small car to go do grocery shopping, pickup the kids at school !

Electric car until 2000 years has been limited to compact dimensions, limited performance due to battery technology.
It's only in recent years that automakers have change their strategy to develop electric vehicles market. For this, they need to attract male drivers.
Electric cars are not any more for urban environment & sharing platforms but for individuals to realize their fantasy, dream of luxury, offroad adventures, speed, neo retro ...
For now, i still have my old good petrol car ... any chance that my next car is electric ?
i dont know. my electric experience is so far limited to Gogoro Go share use. Im loving it ~
